Overview

CASCADE is a caching service for distributed Corba objects in the
Internet. CASCADE improves service availability, reduces access
times and renders them more predictable.
CASCADE supports caching of active objects that includes both
data and code. This features greatly facilitates code distribution
and maintenance.
CASCADE creates a cache hierarchy for each object dynamically,
driven by clients requests. Thus, CASCADE is capable of self-tuning
by responding to changes in demand for Internet based services.
CASCADE is highly configurable in respect to a wide range of
consistency and other policies. At the same time, CASCADE aims to preserve the standard CORBA programming model.
See the following online article for a more detailed introduction
about CASCADE.
